WRITING

i was a writer and editor at guitar world for a decade or so, and here are some of the other publications i've contributed to: rolling stone, entertainment weekly, salon.com, new york, time out new york, the houston chronicle, harp, no depression, guitar world acoustic, guitar player, modern drummer, boston phoenix, new york press, tracks, cmj new music monthly, experience hendrix, siren, pandora, MTV.com and VH1.com.  i also write the occasional celebrity bio, and i'd name names, but then i'd have to kill ya...

i started writing about music around the same time that the internet was blowing up, which means that the web is littered with a lot of my old stuff (i.e. reprinted without the author's permission, or published when the author was young and foolish).  so here are a few picks, below.  i'll be adding to these now and again...
